Awards

The City of San Jose's commitment to increase the supply of affordable housing continues through its progressive policies. The Department of Housing's innovative planning and resulting programs have gained national recognition for design, affordability, and ability to attract and leverage substantial public and private financing. since its inception 1988, the Department of Housing has assisted more than 25,000 very low-, low-, and moderate-income residents by constructing, preserving, and improving housing.
