What is it?

The Strong Neighborhoods Initiative (SNI) is a commitment made by the Mayor and the Council to unite with San José communities to strengthen City neighborhoods.

Strong Neighborhoods is about cleaner, safer neighborhoods and connecting those neighborhoods to resources and to each other. It is listening to San José neighborhoods and responding to citywide priorities

Funding is available for emergency repairs to low-income, owner-occupied residences. Only severe cases that pose a harmful threat to the health and/or safety of the homeowner will be considered. If your home is in critical need of Home Repair Assistance, please call 408.975.4457. An inspection will be scheduled to verify the emergency before an application can be issued.
