AB 987
California AB 987 Statement:
In October 2007, the Governor signed AB 987 making it effective as of January 1, 2008. One of the requirements of AB 987 is for redevelopment agencies to compile, maintain, and make available to the public a database of existing new and substantially rehabilitated income restricted units assisted with moneys from the Low and Moderate Income Housing fund. The database will be posted on the City of San José Housing Department website. This database must be updated annually and agencies are required to provide reasonable notice to the community about the database’s existence. The City of San José’s Housing Department is currently compiling and preparing the information required for AB 987. Please note that, housing units created or rehabilitated for victims of domestic violence will be excluded from the public. Information to be included in the spreadsheet will include:
